This month the theme at Rebecca Writes is petitionary prayer. Rebecca is posting one of her own petitions and linking to those sent to her every Tuesday and Friday in April. Today I am praying for my church. I've told you a bit about our church in a previous post. Well, on March 15th, we officially became a mission work of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church under the guidance and supervision of a fully established church in a close by community. Some of the men of our church attended a session meeting at Hope Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Grayslake, IL for the first time this past Saturday and we are all encouraged by the loving relationship the people of that church are extending to us through Christ. So the petition that I am bringing to God today (and every day lately) is that God would give wisdom to us and the people of Hope OPC and continue to bless our relationship using it to grow us all and glorify Himself.
Update: For those of you who may be unaware, Kim of Hiraeth and I are close friends, very close friends, both relationally and geographically. We live about five minutes apart from each other. And yes, her church is my church. So you see it was bound to happen eventually that our posts would sort of...overlap. And today (by God's plan, not our design) is the day! We are both praying for our church and asking you to join us.

Great minds run in the same track and all that. I posted the same prayer request today!
God is good.
How wonderful to have so much prayer coverage this week!
